Study Position - Top of Backswing (Face On View)
Notice the following in this position -
- Position of Leverage anle where hands have hinged, lead arm is straight and trail arm slightly below lead arm.
- The position of the back / tilt
- Hip Turn slightly into trail leg
- Trail shoulder position visible (not a major twisting action of right shoulder)
- Club face position at top of swing
- Flat Lead Wrist and forearm
It is good to visualize these things and then, when practicing, emulate the positon. It is also beneficial to emulate this position in front of a mirror and hold this positon for ten seconds to help understand what the position feels like.
If you are unable to achieve the position you must find out what is inhibiting you whether it be a flexibilitiy or technique issue. If it is a flexibility issue, please refer to the flexibility and exercise video. |
